Dementia Friendly Washoe County

Dementia Friendly Washoe County, which is a subgroup of Dementia Friendly Nevada, works to increase engagement opportunities for persons living with dementia, identify the kinds of opportunities people living with dementia and care partners are in need of, and foster collaborative partnerships among community members and organizations to better support people living with dementia and care partners in Washoe County.

The community group holds monthly meetings and all are welcome. Free community programs are also offered, including monthly musical performances and weekly nature walks, and dance classes. See the website for current offerings.
