Sanford Center for Aging: Community Wellness Programs
Our wellness team aims to enhance the quality of life and well-being among elders in Nevada by providing evidence-based workshops to promote health and wellness and prevent disease. We are committed to supporting elders in our community with free educational tools. We also offer workshops and resources for family and/or caregivers. All workshops are free. Some workshops are restricted to older adults or people with disabilities.

Requirements
A variety of programs are offered; all are free of charge. See details on specific programs below:
Powerful Tools for Caregivers: For anyone who cares for an adult loved one and needs tools to care for themselves
Healthy Living: For anyone 18+ with one or more chronic condition, and/or a loved one
Living Well with Chronic Pain: For anyone 60+, or any age living with a disability, and/or a loved one
Diabetes Self-Management Program: For anyone 18+ living with diabetes, and/or a loved one
Diabetes Prevention Program: For anyone 18+ who has been diagnosed with prediabetes or is otherwise at risk for developing diabetes
Stepping On: For anyone 60+ working to prevent falls and maintain independence
Healthy Steps for Older Adults: For anyone 60+ working to prevent falls, maintain independence and improve their health
Fit & Strong!: For adults 60+ who have trouble with balance, strength, endurance and flexibility, especially for those with osteoarthritis
